ThinLine technology

ThinLine and its unique material!

Horse products have historically worked on the principle of compression, meaning they are compressed and then spring back or, like a gel, move away from the pressure.

Unique is ThinLine technology. ThinLine is an open-cell foam that shifts shock, weight and heat sideways along the pad, shoe or underbelly.

Microscopic cells, which start as a liquid, are poured into a mold and then polarized so that each cell lies end-to-end, forming a tunnel. Another layer is poured into the mold and polarized in a new direction.

In each ThinLine pad, this process is repeated hundreds of times, creating a honeycomb matrix. This structure allows the ThinLine material to transfer impact, heat and weight sideways, similar to when you throw a stone into water.

ThinLine products also carry tensile strength, so the pressure is truly distributed. Behind every pressure point there is always a hollow point. ThinLine products act on the pressure points by supplementing them with hollow points.

And the results of this amazing technology?

The result is that the impact moves THROUGH the ThinLine pad, delivering a completely different ride that your horse will love.

Riders will also appreciate that the open-cell technology transfers recoil from the horse's back laterally rather than directly to the base of the rider's spine. Non-slip, breathable pads, also made from this exclusive protective foam, can create the perfect saddle fit.

The integrity and softness allow ThinLine to bend and stretch over a high withers, around bones, underbelly, or saddle pressure points without sinking to the bottom (like memory foam) or moving like gel.

Body temperature warms the ThinLine material, allowing it to conform to the horse, supporting tendons and muscles and relieving pressure and shock. It will return to its original shape when returned to room temperature of 24°C. The lifespan of this product is typically 7-9 years.
